2023 SUMMER SCHOOL

Castle High School's Summer School Program is open to current and incoming Castle High School students. No students from other schools will be accepted. Priority will be given to seniors needing to take courses to meet graduation requirements.  Summer school will be taught in person and online.  Please see the following courses that will be offered in person and the courses that will be offered online.  Students may take up to 2 credits in the summer (1 online course + 1 in person course).  Senior students who have met with their academy counselor may register for more than 1 online course.  Courses with the notation "Remediation" means that a student must have taken the course previously and failed.  The only courses that can be taken for acceleration is PE Lifetime Fitness & Activities, Computer Art, Junior Jump Start, and Poly Music 1.  

 

  • To participate in our online summer program, students must adhere to the following requirement:

    • Have daily access to a computer with high speed internet access. CHS Students must use their school-issued chromebook.

    • Follow code of conduct. See end of application

  • Tuition

    • Tuition will be $120 for 0.5 credit and $240 for 1.0 credit

    • Due the accelerated nature of summer school if a student plans to take an in person course, the other course must be online.

    • 2 online courses may be taken with academy counselor approval.

    • A discount may be awarded if there is financial need.  There will be a question asked in the application noting that you are requesting a discount that will be verified by your free or reduced lunch status.  

    • ​Summer Bridge tuition will be $60 for 0.5 credit and will include 4 field trips in addition to classroom time.​

  • An email will be sent to confirm the course(s) you have been accepted into.  Please wait for a course confirmation email from Mr. Gross. Payments must be made in order to reserve your spot.  Payment due date will be included in the confirmation email.   ​

  • The email provided below will be the main email address where progress updates, report cards, and notifications will be sent.​
