Cap and Gown
If you have not already done so, please be sure to order your cap & gown by Saturday, November 30. Our "in-person ordering event" was completed on October 31, so you MUST mail your order directly to Jostens OR order online at Jostens.com. All orders, even mailed orders, must be RECEIVED by Jostens by Saturday, November 30.
If you still need to order a cap and gown, go to Jostens.com, and type in Castle High School (Kaneohe). The last day to get the cheapest price is November 30.
Pick up date - early 5 April, after school
Try on your gown early. Too short? Too long? Exchange day will be in late April after school

Snacks for field rehearsals. No nuts, peanut butter type snacks. Individually packaged.
Water cups, 8 oz. to 12 oz. size.
Bottled water (case)
Masking tape, wide, brands that stick well
Zip ties, 8” to 12”
Participation in the graduation ceremony is VOLUNTARY. Seniors who wish to participate in the ceremony must sign and turn in a graduation agreement, that will be passed out in February. Seniors who do not want to be in the ceremony should submit a Non-Participation form that will also be handed out in February.
Seniors who wish to participate in the ceremony will also need to have the Student Publication Audio/Video Release Form signed and on file with the school.
Gates will open at 4:30 pm for guests with tickets. Gates will be temporarily closed at 5:10 pm to allow for the graduates’ processional. Gates will reopen once the anthems have been sung and the graduates are seated, approximately at 5:40 pm. PLEASE PLAN ACCORDINGLY SO YOUR FAMILY/FRIENDS DO NOT MISS THE PROCESSIONAL.
Parking is limited. Please carpool. Public parking will be available in the back student parking lot off of Namoku St. Overflow parking will continue onto the baseball/softball outfield area. Please follow instructions given by parking attendants. PARKING LOT GATES WILL OPEN AT 3:15 p.m. Cafeteria and music room area parking is by reserved parking pass only.
Handicap parking will be in the back student parking lot on a first come basis. You will only be allowed to park in handicap parking if you have an official state placard displayed and the person the placard is issued to is in the car with his/her ID. Please be aware that it is still a distance from the back parking lot to the bleachers.
You will need a ticket to sit in the bleachers. Only signs and balloons that can be held right in front of you as you sit will be allowed in the bleachers. Anything larger will need to be left along the bleacher fences at your own risk. Strollers will not be allowed in the bleachers. You will be asked to remain seated while graduate names are called during the ceremony.
There is a limited number of handicap seats. Graduates will need to turn in a handicap seating request form. Requests will be honored on a first come basis. Handicap seats will be part of the graduate’s ticket count. Deadline to submit requests to Mrs. Detton in LGLC-1 is Wednesday 5/13/20.
All guests sitting on the bleachers will need a ticket.
1 ticket per body. An infant will count as one body.
Graduates will receive tickets based on song practice attendance regulations.
If graduates attend all song practices and meets regulations, graduates will receive 6 tickets. If the graduation agreement is turned in by March 2, 2020, graduates will receive another ticket.
Song practice regulations to receive a ticket - must be inside the auditorium by 7:15 am, must not have outstanding obligations, must have signed graduation agreement on file, must show this year’s Castle ID upon entering.
Tickets will be distributed to graduates at the end of Friday’s field rehearsal on May 22, 2020. If a graduate needs to stay after rehearsal because of tardies, the tickets will be given to the graduate after he/she helps the committee set up for graduation.
Graduate Check in
Gym doors will open at 3:00 pm for graduates to check-in. Gym doors will close at 3:45 pm. All graduates must be dropped off at the front of the school at the school bus drop off area. Allow for the time to walk/run to the gym. Seniors should not drive to the ceremony. The parking lot will not open until 3:15 pm AND the back gates will not open for pedestrians until 4:30 pm. Graduates will not be allowed to have with them bags, wallets, cell phones, cameras, etc. These items will be confiscated at the door.
No coolers or noise makers allowed. WHEN USING NOISE MAKERS SUCH AS AIR HORNS, OTHER FAMILIES WILL NOT BE ABLE TO HEAR THEIR GRADUATE’S NAME SO PLEASE BE COURTEOUS OF OTHERS. THANK YOU!
No umbrellas open during the ceremony.
No alcohol, tobacco products, e-cigs allowed anywhere on campus.
No reserving spaces in the lei-giving area with mats on the ground or caution tape around areas. People may trip over the mats. We want everyone to be safe.
Hand held signs only. No posting on fences / basketball structures or staking things in the ground.
Strollers, large signs/balloons/props will need to be left at your own risk in the designated areas along the bleacher fencing.

*Failure to attend may result in being removed from the ceremony.
*Be prepared to stay for 1 hour after Friday’s practice if you are tardy Thursday and/or Friday. Anyone not inside the gym by 8:00 am each day is considered tardy.
